Hello I am TAHNUN AHMEDY. I live in DHAKA, BANGLADESH. I have completed my schooling from MONIPUR HIGH SCHOOL, DHAKA. First I went to DHAKA SHISHU AKADEMY AT 2005 and I did a 3 years course there on Bangladeshi folk dance. There I got the basic knowledge of Taal, laya, expression. Then after two years gap I started class for Kathak under SHIBLY MOHAMMAD.2010 to 2012 I did regularly Kathak class. And during this time I started working with SHADHONA CULTUREL CENTRE(LUBNA MARIUM)as a dancer.I performed with them in so many production like TASHER DESH,NOTIR PUJA,FIREFLIES,MAYAR KHELA etc.I traveled with them delhi,Kolkata,shantiniketon in some good festival I got to chance to performe as a group dancer.It was a very learning experience for me because I was very young.In 2013 SHADHONA decide to give me a scholarship to do a course in RHYTHMOSAIC DANCE INSTITUTE KOLKATA. So I went to Kolkata in the middlie of 2013. And I did the one year certificate course. And after the course I got chance to be their company member, and I stayed one more year with them. In 2015 I come back to Dhaka and start working as a freelance dancer and choreographer. Now im working in some Institutions, Schools, and dance groups as a choreographer,and I am making my solo contemporary Choreographies.

I WAS IN KOLKATA FOR MY DANCE TRAINING FOR MORE RHEN TWO YEARS.

SO THAT TIME I ALSO USED TO DO SOME THEATRE WORK IN SOME LOCAL THEATRE IN KOLKATA, I GOT A LOT TO LEARN BECAUSE IT IS VERY HELPFULL FOR A DANCER IF YOU HAVE GOODACTING SKILL.IT HELPS FOR EXPRESSION.I DID LOTS OF WORKSHOPS UNDER FEW GREAT ACORS LIKE, SOUMITRA CHATTERJEE, POULOMI BOSE,GOUTOM BOSE, KARTIK DAS  ETC... AND I PERFORMED IN FEW THEATRE PRODUCTION LIKE CHITRANGADA,BIDROHI,FIRE,SESH NEI ETC...

Dancing Experience

I DID MY FIRST BASIC COURSE ON DANCE FROM DHAKA SHISHU ACADEMY. IT WAS A THREE YEARS COURSE (2005-2008).THEN I GOT TRAINING IN INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE (KATHAK) FOR TWO AND A HALF YEAR. AND I WENT TO KOLKATA,INDIA IN 2013 TO DO A DIPLOMA COURSE ON DANCE FROM RHYTHMOSAIC DANCE INSTITUTE KOLKATA.AND I DID MY TRAINING AND STUDISE THERE FOR TWO YEARS(2013-2015). AND THEN I CAME BACK TO DHAKA AND STERTED WORKING AS A FREELANCER DANCER AND CHOREOGRAPHER.I AM WORKING WITH GOETHE INSTITUTE DHAKA,RAJSHAHI COLLAGE,SHILPOKOLA ACADEMY AND SOME OF LOCAL INSTITUTE AND GROUPS.

IN 2017 I WENT TO PERFORM IN ATTAKKALARAI INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL 2017 ,BANGALORE ,INDIA.I PERFORMED THERE MY SOLO CHOREOGRAPHY. AND THEN ONE OF MY CONTEMPORARY CHOREOGRAPHY GOT SELECTED IN WORLD DANCE ALLIENCE ,CANADA 2017. AND ANOTHER IS IN DANCE BRIDGE FESTIVAL 2017,INDIA.

SO IM A DANCER AND CHOREOGRAPHER OF CONTEMPORARY AND KATHAK.I LEARNED BOTH THE FORMS AND I WORK WITH THIS TWO FORMS.
