Director Experience
Well, in my University (RUET) film making is not very available. Many are interested but all want to be on camera. Not much is interested to work behind camera. So, I decided to direct a film. My God!! It was not easy and I then knew why not so many people were interested. But when I completed the film and released it on youtube the pleasure was unmeasurable. It gave me pride to write that "A film by Omar Kamrul Islam". But for every small mistakes the directors are to be blamed. So, it was a challange for me to make sure that my team was well maintained and a good working environment existed. It was a huge responsibility. In Rajshahi girls are very conservative. So, I had to make sure that they always felt comfortable around us. I really liked taking that responsibility and taking charge of everything for the first time. Then when I saw everyone was listening to me, I realised I was doing a decent job. That boosted my confidence level. Then I decided to do more work as director. Eventhough it was within my university and something for fun, I am very much interested to take those experience with me to the professional level.
"DeLayed Production" is our own University based production. We have completed four short films. All of them were directed & edited by me.

Script Writer Experience
In all of my films. I had to write the scripts. I like working on my own scripts. It helps me to picturise the plot easily. I used to write stories and poems. So, I had a little experience. So, I decided to write my own scripts. I believe scripts play a crucial role in covering up week story plots. Many good plots fail to meet up the expectations due to poor scripts. So, I feel I can help in film making by providing better scripts.
