I am a singer-songwriter, director and guitarist from Bangladesh. I have completed my Diploma in Western Composition and Guitar from KM Music Conservatory, headed by the Oscar winning composer AR Rahman, in Chennai. I have been into music since my childhood, undergoing indian vocal training under Shurobondhu Ashok Chowdhury in Chittagong, Guitar training under Ibrahim Ahmed Kamal (Warfaze, Aurthohin) and in Arpeggio school of music under Nazim Uddin Zahed (The Tree, Hemorrhage). In 2015, I went to India to pursue my studies in music. There I completed a 1 year foundation course and 2 years of Diploma. I majored in Western Composition under Dr. James Bunch and Western Classical Guitar under Mr. Matt Bacon. Apart from that, I have also been trained in Hindustani vocals, Western and Indian music theory and history, Audio Technology ( Logic Pro), Sight singing and Sight reading and Musical Analysis. During my time in India, i had been a part of the KM guitar ensemble and a few choir ensembles. I have also performed in various places around Chennai which also include festivals like the Covelong Beach Fest. It is there that I formed my Musical project called "Toomikey!". Toomikey! is a project that i headed which performed contemporary bangla songs, written and composed by me, which aimed to give the foreign audience a taste of Bangladeshi music, which the received very warmly. At the moment, i am working on a Short Film called "Haurbola", as an Assistant Director and Music Composer among other things.
